Woman hurt in Malabon City fire


A 31-year old woman was hurt in a fire that broke out at a 2-storey residential building at No. 73 Herrera st. Barangay Ibaba, Malabon city on Thursday afternoon.

The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) Public Information Office said the fire reached the 1st alarm at 4:22 p.m.

Firefighters declared the blaze under control at 4:39 p.m. and extinguished at 5:12 p.m.
A certain Krizzia Kaye Caiña sustained a first-degree burn on the right arm and right ear and was given immediate attention by the emergency medical service team.

Six residential houses were partially damaged by the blaze.

The estimated damage to property was estimated at P80,000. No casualties were reported.

Investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the fire.
