Ace jungler Karl "KarlTzy" Nepomuceno went ham on his Benedetta as reigning champion Bren Esports crushed league rookie Work Auster Force, 3-1, to press on in the playoffs lower bracket of the MPL Philippines Season 7 on Friday night, May 28.

MPL-PH Season 6 and M2 MVP KarlTzy put up monstrous performances with the Shadow Ranger to fuel Bren's onslaught in the last two games to close out the series.

KarlTzy slashed his way to seven kills and five assists powering the M2 world champions to a 16-4 demolition of Work in just nearly 13 minutes in Game 3.

Veteran support Angelo "Pheww" Arcangel on Kadita also dazzled as he executed Daniel "Chuuu" Chu's Ling and his teammates multiple times through his deadly combo with petrify, giving a lot of space for KarlTzy to farm and eventually take over.

Sensing the right time to deal the killing blow, KarlTzy proved to be unstoppable in racking up 12 kills and three assists across the map as Bren punished Work's late game-centric lineup anchored on Chuuu's Claude for a swift 18-5 rout in 12 minutes in Game 4.

Coach Francis "Duckey" Glindro's boys in black and yellow advanced to the lower bracket third round where they will clash against the winner between last season's finalist Smart Omega and Execration which are battling at posting time.

On the other hand, coach Laurenz "Lift" Ruiz's Work crew landed on the 5th-6th place in their MPL season debut.

Work could have seized an early series advantage with its massive lead early in Game 1, but KarlTzy's Claude prevailed in a 1v1 battle against Chuuu's Ling in the 16th minute that proved to be the turning point for Bren to overhaul a 10K gold deficit and eventually win the opener.

Dylan "Unravel" Catipon's Khufra stepped up in another nip-and-tuck fight in Game 2, helping Work deny a second Bren comeback and post a 31-21 triumph in 36 minutes.

In that loss, KarlTzy on Benedetta was able to produce a highlight reel by stealing the Lord take against five players of Work. The 17-year-old star jungler went on to sustain his brilliant play on the female assassin hero and lift Bren to victory.
