QC cop arrested after robbing LBC branch in Bulacan


A Quezon City police officer is facing criminal and administrative charges for allegedly robbing a courier company in Bulacan province Monday.

Police identified the suspect as Cpl. Moises Yango, 29, who was detailed at Quezon City Police District’s headquarters.

Yango was arrested after Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) officers held a hot pursuit operation after he, wearing a black sweater and black bonnet with orange helmet and onboard a motorcycle, allegedly declared a hold up at an LBC branch in Barangay Camias in San Miguel town around 1 p.m.

Seized from Yango were one hand grenade, a cal. 99 mm Pietro Beretta, wallet containing his police and other IDs (identification cards).

PRO3 Director Brig. Gen. Valeriano de Leon said they have "zero tolerance for any form of misdemeanor" and they are working "swiftly sparing no effort to ensure that such criminals who endanger the public's safety are dealt with firmly and severely in accordance with law."
