OMG! Salma Hayek almost died due to COVID-19

We almost lost Salma Hayek.

The actress recently revealed having contracted COVID-19.

The 54-year-old actress told Variety magazine that it was “near-fatal.”

“My doctor begged me to go to the hospital because it was so bad. I said, ‘No, thank you. I’d rather die at home’,” Salma shared.

The article said the "Marvel's Eternal" star needed to be put on oxygen at one point, and that she “still hasn’t fully regained the energy she once had.”

In any case, Salma is doing well enough to go back to work.

After spending about seven weeks in self-isolation, she returned to work in April to shoot Ridley Scott's "House of Gucci," which co-stars Lady Gaga, Adam Driver.

"It was not a lot of time," Hayek said. "It was easy. It was the perfect job to just get back into it. I had started doing Zooms at one point, but I could only do so many because I would get so tired."
