Some 100,000 Philippine ID (PhilID) cards are set to be delivered to various parts of the country, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) said on Wednesday, May 19.

PSA said the Philippine Postal Corporation (PHLPost) has already received 103,935 PhilIDs from the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP), as of May 15.

It is set to be delivered to those who have completed Step 2 registration soon.

“Ang issuance ng PhilSys [Philippine Identification System] Number o PSN at pagde-deliver ng PhilID ang Step 3 at huling hakbang ng PhilSys registration (The issuance of the PhilSys Number or PSN and delivery of the PhilID is the Step 3 and final step of PhilSys registration),” PSA said in a Facebook post.

Getting a National ID in ‘three easy steps’

PSA reiterated that just like the entire registration process, “getting a PhilID is also free or without a delivery fee.”

The public is again reminded to keep their PhilSys number safe and confidential, which is attached to the letter that they will receive.

“Para sa transactions, gamitin lamang ang inyong PhilSys Card Number [PCN] na naka-imprenta sa harap ng inyong ID (For transactions, simply use your PhilSys Card Number printed on the front of your ID),” PSA told the public.

For updates or other information about PhilSys or PhilID, the public is encouraged to just like or message PSA through its official Facebook page, email [email protected], or call the PhilSys hotline 1388.
