OPAV Undersecretary Anthony Gerard “Jonji” Gonzalez recently turned over the manual to Gov. Samuel Gumarin and Dr. NL Cathrel Nava, provincial health officer.

The manual written by retired Major Gen. Melquiades Feliciano is a guide for local government units in setting up efficient vaccination centers.

While Guimaras usually posts the least number of COVID-19 cases in Western Visayas, Gumarin said the OPAV manual cab boost the capacity of local government to improve its vaccination program.

The manual was given to the local health officials of Buenavista, Jordan, Nueva Valencia, San Lorenzo, and Sibunag.

Gumarin said there will be a team to help implement and monitor the creation of Vaccination Operations Center (VOC) to ensure smooth, unified, efficient, and effective implementation of the COVID-19 vaccination plan.
