The weather disturbance “Crising” has weakened into a tropical depression shortly before making its landfall in the vicinity of Baganga, Davao Oriental on Thursday night.

PAGASA said Crising weakened into a a tropical depression at around 8 p.m. and made its landfall at around 8:20 p.m.

The center of Crising was estimated within the vicinity of New Bataan, Davao de Oro at around 10 p.m.

It had a maximum sustained winds of 55 kilometers per hour (kph) near the center and gustiness of up to 90 kph, while moving westward at 20 kph.

Moderate to heavy rains may affect over Davao Oriental, Davao de Oro, Davao del Norte, Davao City, Cotabato, Maguindanao, Bukidnon, Lanao del Norte, Lanao del Sur, Misamis Occidental, Zamboanga del Sur, and the northern portion of Zamboanga del Norte until Friday afternoon, May 14.

Tropical storm “Crising” has made landfall over Baganga, Davao Oriental at around 8:20 p.m., PAGASA said.

Moderate to heavy rains may prevail over Caraga, Davao Region, Northern Mindanao, Soccsksargen, and Bangsamoro between Thursday and Friday afternoon, May 14.

In the next 24 hours, under the influence of Crising, moderate to rough seas will be experienced over the eastern seaboard of Mindanao.

Mariners of small sea crafts were advised not to venture out over these waters. Likewise, inexperienced mariners of these vessels should also avoid navigating in these conditions.

Tropical storm “Crising” is poised to make landfall over Baganga, Davao Oriental on Thursday night, May 13, according to PAGASA.

PAGASA estimated the center of Crising at 110 kilometers (km) south southeast of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur at around 7 p.m.

The tropical storm packed a maximum sustained winds of 65 kilometers per hour (kph) near the center and gustiness of up to 80 kph, while moving westward at 25 kph.

Based on the forecast track, PAGASA said Crising will move generally westward and is seen to make landfall over Baganga, Davao Oriental between 8 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. Thursday.

Moderate to heavy rains may prevail over Caraga, Davao Region, Northern Mindanao, Soccsksargen, and Bangsamoro between Thursday and Friday afternoon, May 14.

Tropical cyclone wind signal number 2 has been raised over the southern portion of Surigao del Sur (Tagbina, Hinatuan, City of Bislig, Lingig, Barobo), southern portion of Agusan del Sur (Loreto, La Paz, Rosario, Bunawan, Veruela, Santa Josefa, Trento, San Francisco, Talacogon), northern portion of Davao Oriental (Baganga, Caraga, Manay, Tarragona, Lupon, Banaybanay), Davao de Oro, and the northern portion of Davao del Norte (Kapalong, San Isidro, Asuncion, New Corella, Talaingod).

It packed a maximum sustained winds of 65 kilometers per hour (kph) near the center and gustiness of up to 80 kph, while moving west northwestward at 25 kph.

PAGASA said moderate to heavy rains may prevail over Caraga, Davao Region, Northern Mindanao, Soccsksargen, Bangsamoro, and Palawan between Thursday and Friday afternoon, May 14.

PAGASA estimated the location of Crising at 250 kilometers (km) east of Davao City, Davao del Sur at around 1 p.m.

The state weather bureau said moderate to heavy rains may affect Surigao del Sur, Agusan del Sur, Davao Oriental, Davao de Oro, and Davao del Norte between Thursday and Friday morning, May 14.

“Crising” has intensified into a tropical storm at about 8 a.m., threatening the areas of Davao Oriental and Surigao del Sur

In its severe weather bulletin issued at 11 a.m., PAGASA estimated the location of Crising at 330 kilometers (km) east of Davao at around 10 a.m.

The tropical storm packed a maximum sustained winds of 65 kilometers per hour (kph) near the center and gustiness of up to 80 kph, while moving west northwestward at 10 kph.

Based on the forecast track, Crising is seen to make landfall over Davao Oriental-Surigao del Sur area between Thursday night and Friday morning, May 14.

Tropical cyclone wind signal number 2 has been raised over the southern portion of Surigao del Sur (Lingig, City of Bislig), the southeastern portion of Agusan del Sur (Trento, Santa Josefa), the northern portion of Davao Oriental (Boston, Cateel, Baganga), and the northeastern portion of Davao de Oro (Compostela, Montevista, Monkayo, New Bataan).

Areas under Signal number 1 are the rest of Surigao del Sur, the rest of Agusan del Sur, the rest of Davao Oriental, the rest of Davao de Oro, Davao del Norte, Davao City, and the eastern portion of Bukidnon (Impasug-Ong, City of Malaybalay, Cabanglasan, San Fernando, Quezon, City of Valencia, Lantapan, Maramag, Dangcagan, Kitaotao, Don Carlos, Kibawe, Damulog).

Tropical depression “Crising” maintained its strength and slightly slowed down while moving eastward over the Philippine Sea.

PAGASA estimated the location of Crising at 405 km east of Davao City at around 7 a.m.

It has a maximum sustained winds of 45 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 55 kph, while moving westward at 10 kph.

Tropical cyclone wind signal number 1 has been raised over Surigao del Sur, Agusan del Sur, Davao Oriental, Davao de Oro, Davao del Norte, and Davao City.

The low pressure area over the Philippine Sea east of Davao City has developed into tropical depression “Crising” at 2 a.m.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) estimated the location of Crising at 420 kilometers east of Davao City around 4 a.m.

It has maximum sustained winds of 45 kilometers per hour (kph) and gustiness of up to 55 kph, while it is seen to move west at 15 kph.

Tropical cyclone wind signal number 1 is raised over Surigao del Sur, Davao Oriental, Davao de Oro, and the eastern portion of Agusan del Sur (Prosperidad, San Francisco, Rosario, Bunawan, Trento, Santa Josefa, Veruela).
