Leaning on star tank Joshua "Ch4knu" Mangilog's Grock, Execration took a swift 2-0 sweep over Laus Playbook Esports to grab a spot in the MPL Philippines Season 7 Playoffs on Friday night, May 12.

Ch4knu's Grock relentlessly disrupted the rotation of LPE veteran Erwin "Yakou" Magno's Roger and made plays all over the map in Game 2, enabling Kiel VJ "Kielvj" Hernandez's Ling and Duane "Kelra" Pillas' Claude to snowball.

The 'Double K Connection' of Kielvj and Kelra got the first Lord kill before spearheading a 4-for-nothing exchange as Exe easily cruised to a 19-8 victory in 12 minutes.

Game 2 MVP

It was a nip-and-tuck battle in Game 1 until Kielvj's Hayabusa and company punished LPE for throwing ultimate skills to pick off Ch4knu's Atlas at the top lane in the 12th minute.

Yakou and the crew still attempted to take down the Luminous Lord despite having their big team fight skills on cooldown and Kielvj took advantage as he dove straight into the backlines to pick off Jay "JAKE THE DOG" Lapitan's Chang'e and Arvin "Arvs" Bacayan's Silvanna.

Execration went on to wipe out LPE and get the Lord for themselves to score a 20-14 win in 14 minutes.

Game 1 MVP

With the sweep, Execration punched its ticket to the MPL Playoffs as it climbed to No. 2 in Group B with 18 points on a 5-7 record.

The squad of coach Jomie "Pakba1ts" Abalos and Billy "Z4pnu" Alfonso also completed the Playoffs cast with Smart Omega and Nexplay Esports (both 17 points) taking their seats in the post-season.

Coach Brian "Panda" Lim's LPE, which gambled on Yakou and replaced its usual jungle Joshua "Aspect" Tating, crashed out of contention as it remained holding its eight points on a 3-8 slate at the bottom of Group B.

Panda's boys only have two series left, which means they can only get a maximum points of 14, short of Omega and NXP's 17.
