CEBU CITY – Seven persons were arrested after agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Central Visayas (PDEA 7) raided a drug den here Wednesday.
At least 25 packs of illegal drugs with an estimated value of P149,600 were seized during the anti-illegal drug operation in Sitio Lawis Alaska, Barangay Mambaling.
According to PDEA Region 7 spokesperson Leah Albiar, it was the 10th drug den that the agency was able to dismantle for this year alone.
One of the arrested persons was Christopher Balaba, the alleged caretaker of the drug den who was also involved in peddling illegal drugs, the PDEA Region 7 said.
The PDEA Regon 7 said that based on its monitoring, the suspect was capable of selling 50 grams of shabu a week.
Also arrested were Margarito Margaha, Reynaldo Boldero Jr., Rezon Roble, Willkeans Natural, Armando Cabatuan, and Dondon Nacario, who were all caught in the drug den during the operation.
Charges for violation of Republic Act (RA) No. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 will be filed against them, the PDEA Region 7 said.
