CEBU CITY – Marijuana plants worth P4.4 million were uprooted on Monday night in Tagba-o, a mountain barangay here.

Police and agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Central Visayas (PDEA 7) found the marijuana plantation in an 800-square meter land in Sitio Sampinit, Brgy. Tagba-o, Cebu City.
At least 11,200 fully grown marijuana plants were uprooted during the operation, said PDEA 7 information officer Leah Albiar.
The alleged cultivator of the plantation was identified as Boy Ardimer, who eluded arrest.
Charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 will be filed against the suspect, the PDEA 7 said.
