A Filipino teenager who won an international crown has sets her sights on the national crown.
As she turned 18 today, May 9, Gemeli Vista Tocao said that she’s looking forward to competing in a national pageant or an international beauty contest.
“I am looking forward to another national and hopefully international pageant and title. But for now, my focus is on my studies because I think I can perform well in a national stage with a good profile and besides finishing my course is also my family’s dream to me,” said Gemeli, during an exclusive online interview.
Asked about the beauty queen who inspires her, Gemeli said: “I always revere to Miss Queen Catriona Gray, aside of being eloquent and influential, she has a kind heart and cares for children.”
In July 2018, Gemeli was crowned Miss International Teen in Phuket, Thailand.
“A crown maybe majestic in its form, but a true crown should sit within our heart to radiate goodness to the youth empowering them to be of good service to their fellow Filipinos,” said Gemeli.
A girl of wit, grace and generosity, Gemeli currently pursues her passion in the field of medicine to become a doctor with the endeavor of helping the sick and the poor.
While studying as a senior high school student at Davao Doctors College under the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) Strand, she harnesses her skills in baking.
Gemeli is being managed by the JOSEPHC Casting Agency under close monitoring and coaching of her handler Elijah Marcelline I. Aguirre, Mr. Joseph D. Nimes and manager, Josephus Ople Canabuan, founder of JCCA.
