Gov’t employee killed as motorcycle crashes into drilling machine in Quezon

LUCENA CITY – A government employee died after his motorcycle crashed into a cable drilling machine early yesterday morning in Barangay Ibabang Dupay here.

Police identified the victim as Harold Santos, 31, single, of Molave St., Hills View Subdivision, Barangay Mayao Crossing, this city.

Investigation showed that the victim was driving his motorcycle on the Diversion Road on his way to Sariaya, this province, when he lost control of the vehicle and crashed and went under a cable drilling machine parked on the shoulder of the highway.

Santos sustained serious head and arm injuries and lost consciousness and was taken by the City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office to the Quezon Medical Center here where he was pronounced dead.
