The Provincial Health Office (PHO) of Bulacan has recorded 330 new cases of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19), bringing the total number of cases in the province to 32,275.

The Provincial Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit (PESU) said that out of the total, 23,959 or 87 percent have recovered, while 2,729 or 10 percent are active cases.

The PESU said that out of the 330 new cases, 185 are fresh, while 145 are late cases. Of the 2,729 active cases, 172 are admitted in hospitals, 328 are admitted in Temporary Treatment and Monitoring Facilities (TTMFs), while 2,229 are under home isolation.

Governor Daniel R. Fernando renewed his appeal to Bulakenyos to be steadfast in the fight against COVID-19.

“Natutuwa tayo dahil maraming linggo ng walang nahuhuli ang ating kapulisan na lumalabag sa health protocol, maliban sa mga nagkakalat ng ilegal na droga na magpahanggang sa ngayon ay hindi tumitigil, hindi naman sila lulubayan ng ating mga otoridad, mahuhuli din lahat yan,” ( We’re happy because for several weeks now, our policemen have not apprehended anyone who disobeyed health protocols, aside from drug peddlers who have not stopped until now. The authorities won’t stop going after them. All of them will be arrested),” Fernando said.

Fernando said the province will win the fight against COVID-19 if everybody will follow the health protocols.

“Ligtas ka kapag sinunod mo ito (You’re safe if you will follow these protocols),” Fernando added. (Freddie C. Velez)
