LOOK: The Nike Giannis Immortality, designed by Fil-Am Kevin Lee Reyes, has just been unveiled

Giannis Antetokounmpo is being celebrated yet again by his Nike family with another sneaker drop dedicated to the NBA MVP

Greek professional basketball player Giannis Antetokounmpo is expanding the Nike Zoom Freak line with the launch of Giannis Immortality. The black and gray basketball shoe features padded heels and heavy-duty mesh overlay detailed reflecting Giannis’ individuality. The design includes the names of Giannis’ parents, his child Liam, and his other brothers that are imprinted on the outsole of the footwear. Born in Greece to Nigerian parents, his Athens and Lagos roots are fixed on the sneakers’ heels. Antetokounmpo, his family name, will be seen on the shoes’ tongue, heel, and pull-tab.

Upon the announcement, the designer of Giannis Immortality, who is Filipino-American, posted the news on his socials. "Triple blacks aren't usually on the top of my list as sometimes it can get a little too stealthy for my taste," designer Kevin Lee Reyes said. "That said I think these execute great and are a huge testament to the work @enawahk @chinahoney @jaimelrussell did to make sure even the simplest colorway on this model have something to say! All the micro textures, matte and shines, selective touch of grays...everything! Just psyched to see these hit the courts!"

The exact release date has yet to be announced.
