In Angono, Rizal, groups of animal lovers organized a one-day event in Barangay Mahabang Parang recently to give pet owners free dry food, soap, vitamins and ointments for their pets.
Pet owners lined up to get a set of items for their dogs or cats at the ‘Community PAW-TRY’ in Barangay Mahabang Parang in Angono during the weekend.
Some residents brought along their pet cat or pet dog as they received the free provisions for their animals.
The Angono Pet Lovers co-organized the event with the municipal government and the Guardians of Greenwoods Stray, to distribute the items, including the donations from various donors in the community.
Pet owners said they hope that similar activity to benefit pet dogs and cats would be replicated by other groups in other villages since pets, like humans, are also affected by the pandemic. (
