The occupancy rate of the isolation facilities in the province of Pangasinan is only at 8.4 percent, according to the provincial Inter-Agency Task Force.
During the question hour of the Provincial Board (Sangguniang Panlalawigan) on Monday, May 3, Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office chief, Rhodyn Lunchivar Oro, said that only 171 are occupied out of the 2,035 established quarantine facilities in Pangasinan.
He attributed the lower occupancy to slow transmission of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in the province.
“All of the local government units in Pangasinan have established their respective COVID-19 isolation facilities,” he said.
Oro added the provincial government has also set up three quarantine facilities situated in the towns of Burgos, Sta. Barbara, and Tayug.
As of 9 a.m. Monday, Pangasinan recorded a total COVID-19 recoveries of 6,643 while the active cases at 680 with two new reported cases.
