“Habang nagdi-discuss ako, He participates in my class by answering some of my questions about the history. Tapos sabay sabing ‘Sir, Pasensya na kayo nasa construction site po ako’ (As I discuss, he participates in my class by answering some of my questions about history. Then he said ‘Sir, I'm sorry I'm at the construction site’),” Veras said.

Veras said that at first he did not mind what Dela Cruz was saying since he was in the middle of discussion, but what caught his attention was the construction activity of Dela Cruz.

“So, hindi ko muna pinansin kasi nasa kalagitnaan ako ng discussion. Pero, While I am busy explaining about our topic. Napansin ko na MAY NAGPAPALA, MAY HAGDAN AND ETC. sa place niya and it shows that he is working while listening to my lecture then maya maya sya babalik sa cp screen niya to give his opinion about the topic (So, I ignored it first because I was in the middle of a discussion. But, while I am busy explaining about our topic, I have noticed shovel, stairs, etc. in his place and it shows that he is working while listening to my lecture, then he would return to his cp screen to give his opinion about the topic.),” Veras shared.

Veras said that the new normal education system is really hard for both the teachers and students, but Dela Cruz strives to attend his classes and work at the same time.

“Could you imagine how students dealt with this situation under the new normal education system. Sa totoo lang kahit akong teacher napapagod at nahihirapan sa sistema.  Pero, Nahiya ako sa sipag ng estudyanteng ito. Pinaalala mo sakin na gaano man kahirap ang dinadanas natin dapat natin itong labanan para sa mga pangarap natin at para sa mga umaasa sa atin! (Could you imagine how students deal with this situation under the new normal education system. Honestly even me as a teacher is tired and having difficulties with the system. But I was ashamed of this student's diligence. You reminded me that no matter how hard we go through we must fight for our dreams and for those who depend on us),” he said.

“GOOD JOB Kapatid!! Pagpalain ka sa mga hakbang na ginagawa mo patungo sa mga pangarap mo! (Good job brother !! Bless you with the steps you are taking towards your dreams),” he added.
