Dubbed as "Pag-asa Community Library," which was inspired by the Maginhawa Community Pantry in Quezon City, the group opened it on Tuesday (April 27) offering various books to the community.

The community library is located in Pag-asa St. Zapanta, Singalong in Malate, Manila.

The project aims to provide easy access to books to the community as it can help build opportunities for other children.

"Nakaangkla sa ideyang "Ang edukasyon ay karapatan," layunin ng proyektong magsilbing publiko't libreng aklatan ng komunidad para sa komunidad (Based on the idea of "Education is a right," the project aims to serve as a public and free community library for the community)," the group, composed of 20 members, wrote in a Facebook post.

The books can be borrowed for 30 days. Those who wish to borrow books should write the title of the book and information of the borrower. After 30 days, the book should be returned or it can be renewed for another 30 days.

Children's books, school books, entertainment books, or adult books can be donated to the community library.

The group also encourages other youth groups to start their own community library and donate anything that can help build a library in their community.
