The Pilipinas VisMin Super Cup conditionally lifted the suspension of ARQ Builders-Lapu-Lapu City guard Rendell Senining for his role in the controversial game against the Siquijor Mystics two weeks ago.

Chief Operating Officer Rocky Chan said Wednesday, April 28, that Senining was reinstated after the league determined he had no involvement in any game-fixing allegations that marred the contest which eventually led to the Mystics’ banishment from the ongoing Visayas leg.

“After much thought and consultation with the coaches, the VisMin management team has decided to conditionally lift the suspension of Mr. Rendell Senining,” Chan said during the games held in Alcantara, Cebu.

“Rendell Senining has been cleared of any game-fixing allegations in connection to the April 14 game,” added Chan after the decision made in consultation with the Games and Amusements Board.

But Senining had to meet several conditions before he could suit up once again for Lapu-Lapu, first by issuing a public apology during Wednesday’s games.

He also agreed that another incident similar to the one that happened against Siquijor will force the league to permanently ban Senining from the league while also being tasked to lead the league’s outreach activities.

Senining was initially banned for the rest of the tournament and fined P30,000 for his actions where he missed two free throws by alternately using his left and right hand.

The former Far Eastern University cager later apologized but explained that the actions were made in frustration over the Mystics’ lack of interest in taking the game seriously.
