Big Hit Music has announced that K-pop superstars BTS will be coming back with the release of a digital single next month.

The label said BTS’ new song “Butter” will be out at 1 p.m. Korea Standard Time (noon in the Philippines) on May 21 on Korean and international music sites.

“Butter” will be BTS’ second English song after the hit track “Dynamite,” which was released on Aug. 21 last year.

“Brimming with the inimitable charm of BTS, the new single ‘Butter’ will melt its way into the hearts of all ARMY. Dip into the sometimes smooth, other times charismatic enchantment of BTS with their latest music,” Big Hit Music announced.

In addition, the physical version of “Butter” will be released in Korea and around the world in the summer.

BTS ARMYs around the world are gearing up for the song’s release.

“We would like to thank all ARMY for your ceaseless affection for BTS, and we ask for your continued love and support for the new digital single ‘Butter’ from BTS,” added Big Hit Music.

On BTS’ official YouTube channel “Bangtan TV,” the “Butter” Logo Trailer, which runs for 1 hour and 27 seconds, has garnered 12.15 million views since its release on April 26.

Through “Dynamite,” BTS earned their first ever Grammy nomination for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.

BTS performed the track at the 63rd Grammy Awards held on March 14 (March 15 in the Philippines). The idol group filmed the “Dynamite” performance on the rooftop helipad of the Fairmont Ambassador Seoul hotel in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul.

“Dynamite” holds the record as the No. 1 the most viewed music video in the first 24 hours of release on YouTube with 101.1 million views.

The music video for “Dynamite” also reached one billion views last April 12, becoming BTS’ third music video to reach the milestone.

Meanwhile, BTS are nominated for International Group at the BRIT Awards 2021, which will be held on May 11 at O2 arena in London. They are the first Korean act to be nominated for a BRIT Award.
