Julia Barretto admitted she "enjoyed" the fact that many deemed her the "young Claudine Barretto."
In an interview on "Gabi ng Bading: The Podcast," she said: "I loved getting that compliment or that comment."
According to her, she is "genuinely" a fan of her aunt Claudine.
"I saw how hardworking she was and committed to her craft," she said. "So aside from her being my aunt, I was such a huge fan."
"So as a kid and they would call me that -- and I saw how she worked -- I was so happy taking the compliment. But I think it started because of my first show, I was the young Claudine ("Walang Kapalit"). Feeling ko du'n nag-start yun."
