NBI Officer-In-Charge Director Eric B. Distor said on Thursday, April 22, that the NBI’s Dagupan District Office (NBI-DADO) conducted an entrapment operation against Citirock Spa “for exploitation of women for sexual activities.”

Distor identified those arrested as spa manager Joseph Carrera and cashier Gelyn Almenario.

He said that Carrera and Almenario have been “using the spa as a front for the illegal activities and collecting fees from P1,000 to P1,500 per customer for sexual pleasure.”

During the operation, Distor said the NBI rescued four women who were being engaged in sexual activities with male customers.

“Subjects were presented for inquest proceedings before the City Prosecutor’s Office for Human Trafficking while the rescued women were turned over to DSWD (Department of Social Welfare and Development),” he said.
