Bulacan records 12 new deaths due to COVID-19


The Provincial Health Office (PHO) in Bulacan reported on Wednesday 12 new deaths due to COVID-19, bringing the total number of fatalities in the province to 629.

As of April 21, 2021, the PHO said a total of 29,041 COVID-19-related cases were gathered by the Provincial Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit of PHO-Public Health from the disease reporting units province-wide, of which, 24,100 or 80 percent are confirmed, and 4,941 or 20 percent are suspect.

It said the 355 cases were verified and added to the total number of confirmed cases in the provincial tally, 158 of which are “fresh” cases and 197 are “late” cases.

Most of the 53 percent confirmed cases are male with the highest reported active cases in the City of Malolos, City of San Jose Del Monte, and in the municipality of Santa Maria.

The PHO also reported that among the confirmed cases, 20,224 or 83 percent have recovered, including the 301 additional recoveries on Wednesday. There are still 3,247 individuals under isolation and are being monitored in hospitals, temporary and monitoring facilities, or their homes.
