The Philippine Airlines (PAL) A330 flight that left for Beijing, China on Thursday morning, April 22 is expected to return with 500,000 doses of Sinovac Biotech Ltd.-made vaccines at around 5:50 p.m. today.
The outgoing flight, designated as flight no. PR358, left the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 2 at 7 a.m . The travel time to Beijing Capital International Airport is an estimated five hours.
After a one-hour ground time, the return flight, designated as PR359, will leave for Manila with the government-purchased anti-coronavirus disease (COVID-19) on board.
This mission will bring the total number of vaccine doses flown in by PAL to 2.4 million.
Capt. Rey Hembrador is listed as pilot-in-commnd. Rounding up the flight crew were First Officer Vincent Alcanzare, Second Officer Benjo Candungan, and interpreter Eric Chan.
