Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano said the city government distributed the financial assistance to the remaining 14 barangays with a total of 46,000 families or 146,000 individuals.

Rubiano said the city government already finished the distribution of financial assistance on April 20 in 187 barangays to 21,766 families or about 72,082 individuals.

She said the city government received P348 million from the national government for distribution to 123,000 individuals listed and approved by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) National Capital Region.

The mayor said the city government has been working double time to distribute to the qualified beneficiaries the financial assistance to help the residents affected by the ECQ.

Rubiano admitted they also encountered minor problems during the distribution of the financial assistance.

The city government also started the distribution of P8,000 2nd tranche Social Amelioration Program (SAP) to about 8,234 beneficiaries.

The mayor said the 8,234 beneficiaries who will be receiving the P8,000 are those who were wait-listed, Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps); and members of the Tricycle, Operators and Drivers Association (TODA) and the Jeepney Operators and Drivers Association (JODA).

Rubiano said the beneficiaries were notified through a text message on the schedule of their payout indicating the date and what branch of Starpay (M Lhuillier) in claiming their P8,000 cash assistance.

She said a total of 1,200 beneficiaries will receive a text message per day to claim their financial assistance.

The mayor said only 1,200 beneficiaries will receive a text message per day to limit the number of people who will leave their homes during the prevailing Modified ECQ in Metro Manila and in the nearby provinces of Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna, and Rizal.
