As of 11 a.m., April 19

Typhoon Bising maintained its strength while moving slowly over the Philippine Sea.

PAGASA estimated the location of center of the eye of typhoon Bising at 235 kilometers east-northeast of Virac, Catanduanes or 360 km east of Daet, Camarines Norte at around 10 a.m.

Signal No. 2 remains hoisted over Catanduanes, eastern portion of Camarines Sur, eastern portion of Albay, eastern and central portions of Sorsogon, Northern Samar, Samar, Eastern Samar, and Biliran.

Meanwhile, more areas were placed under Signal No. 1. These were the southeastern portion of Cagayan, eastern portion of Isabela, northeastern portion of Quirino, northern portion of Aurora, eastern portion of Quezon including Polillo Islands, Camarines Norte, the rest of Camarines Sur, the rest of Albay, the rest of Sorsogon, Masbate including Burias and Ticao Islands, Leyte, Southern Leyte, northern portion of Cebu including Bantayan and Camotes Islands, Dinagat Islands, Siargao Islands, and Bucas Grande Islands.

Bising has kept its strength with maximum sustained winds of 195 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 240 kph. 

Moving west-northwest slowly, the typhoon has barely moved and remained offshore east of Catanduanes.

PAGASA located Bising at 250 kilometers east-northeast of Virac, Catanduanes as of 4 a.m.

Catanduanes, eastern portion of Camarines Sur, eastern portion of Albay, eastern and central portions of Sorsogon, Northern Samar, Samar, Eastern Samar, and Biliran remained under Signal No. 2.

Signal No. 1 was hoisted over the eastern portion of Isabela, northern portion of Aurora, southeastern portion of Quezon including Polillo Islands, Camarines Norte, rest of Camarines Sur, rest of Albay, rest of Sorsogon, Masbate including Burias and Ticao Islands, Leyte, Southern Leyte, northern portion of Cebu including Bantayan and Camotes Islands, Dinagat Islands, Siargao Islands, and Bucas Grande Islands.

Typhoon Bising has slightly weakened with maximum sustained winds of 195 kilometers per hour near the center and gustiness of up to 240 kph. It also slowed down while moving west-northwestward. 

As of 10 p.m., PAGASA located the center of the eye of typhoon Bising at 270 km east of Virac, Catanduanes.

Signal No. 2 was hoisted over Catanduanes, eastern portion of Camarines Sur, eastern portion of Albay, eastern and central portions of Sorsogon, Northern Samar, Samar, Eastern Samar, and Biliran.

Areas under Signal No. 1 were the eastern portion of Camarines Norte, rest of Camarines Sur, rest of Albay, rest of Sorsogon, Masbate including Burias and Ticao Islands, Leyte, Southern Leyte, northern portion of Cebu including Bantayan and Camotes Islands, Dinagat Islands, Siargao Islands, and Bucas Grande Islands.

Typhoon Bising has slightly weakened and decelerated while churning over the Philippine Sea east of Catanduanes.

PAGASA said Bising was located at 290 kilometers east of Virac, Catanduanes at 4 p.m., packing a maximum sustained winds of 205 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 250 kph, while moving west northwestward at 15 kph.

Areas under Signal Number 2 are Catanduanes, Northern Samar, Eastern Samar, and Samar.

Signal Number 1 has been raised in the eastern portion of Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, Albay, Sorsogon, Masbate including Burias and Ticao Islands, Biliran, Leyte, Southern Leyte, northern portion of Cebu including Bantayan and Camotes Islands, Dinagat Islands, Siargao Islands, and Bucas Grande Islands.

Signal No. 2 and 1 remains hoisted over Bicol region, Eastern Visayas, Dinagat Islands, and Siargao and Bucas Grande Islands, as typhoon Bising maintained its strength while passing close to Bicol.

PAGASA located the center of the eye of typhoon Bising at 375 km east of Juban, Sorsogon or 345 km east of Virac, Catanduanes, as of 10 a.m.

Bising remains a typhoon with maximum sustained winds of 215 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 265 kph while it slightly accelerated to 20 kph northwestward.

PAGASA has maintained Signal No. 2 and 1 over Eastern Visayas, Bicol region, and parts of Caraga, as typhoon Bising remains over the Philippine Sea east of Northern Samar.

The typhoon maintained its 215 kph maximum sustained winds near the center and gustiness of up to 265 kph while it slowed down to 15 kph northwestward.

The center of the eye of Bising was located 400 km east of Catarman, Northern Samar or 470 km east of Juban, Sorsogon at around 4 a.m.

Signal No. 2 is still up in Catanduanes, Northern Samar, Eastern Samar, and Samar, while Signal No. 1 is raised over the eastern portion of Camarines Norte Camarines Sur, Albay, Sorsogon, Masbate including Burias and Ticao Islands, Biliran, Leyte, Southern Leyte, northern portion of Cebu including Bantayan and Camotes Islands, Dinagat Islands, Surigao del Norte including Siargao and Bucas Grande Islands, and Surigao del Sur.

Bising is currently packing maximum sustained winds of 215 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 265 kph.

As of 10 p.m., PAGASA located the center of the eye of typhoon Bising at 395 kilometers east of Borongan City, Eastern Samar. It is moving northwestward at 20 kph.

As of 5 p.m., April 17

PAGASA has raised Signal No. 2 over Catanduanes, Northern Samar, Eastern Samar, and Samar.

Signal No. 1 was hoisted over Sorsogon, Albay, eastern portion of Camarines Sur, eastern portion of Masbate including Ticao Island, Biliran, Leyte, Southern Leyte, and Camotes Islands, Dinagat Islands, Surigao del Norte, and Surigao del Sur.

Bising further intensified with maximum sustained winds of 195 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 240 kph. 

As of 4 p.m., the center of the eye of the typhoon was located at 460 km east of Guiuan, Eastern Samar.

Signal No. 1 is up in Sorsogon, Albay, eastern portion of Camarines Sur, Ticao Island, Catanduanes, Northern Samar, Samar, Eastern Samar, Biliran, Leyte, Southern Leyte, Camotes Islands, Dinagat Islands, Surigao del Norte including Siargao and Bucas Grande Islands, and Surigao del Sur.

PAGASA located the center of the eye of typhoon Bising at 645 km east of Maasin City, Southern Leyte or 545 km east of Guiuan, Eastern Samar at 10 a.m.

Bising continued its intensification and is now packing maximum sustained winds of 185 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 230 kph. It is moving northwestward at 20 kph.

PAGASA has hoisted Signal No. 1 over the central and eastern portions of Sorsogon, eastern portion of Albay, eastern portion of Camarines Sur, Catanduanes, Northern Samar, Samar, Eastern Samar, Biliran, Leyte, Southern Leyte, Camotes Islands, Dinagat Islands, Surigao del Norte including Siargao and Bucas Grande Islands, and Surigao del Sur.

As of 4 a.m., the center of the eye of typhoon Bising was estimated at 705 km east of Surigao City, Surigao del Sur or 775 km east of Maasin City, Southern Leyte.

Bising rapidly gained strength and is now packing maximum sustained winds of 175 kilometers per hour (kph) near the center and gustiness of up to 215 kph. 

Bising moved west-northwestward at 20 kph.

PAGASA has raised Signal No. 1 over Eastern Samar, eastern portion of Northern Samar, central and southern portions of Samar, eastern portion of Leyte, eastern portion of Southern Leyte, Dinagat Islands, Surigao del Nore, and Surigao del Sur.

The center of the eye of typhoon Bising was estimated at 790 kilometers east of Surigao City, Surigao del Norte at around 10 p.m.

It has slightly intensified with maximum sustained winds of 150 kilometers per hour (kph) near the center and gustiness of up to 185 kph while moving west-northwestward at 15 kph.

As of 4 p.m., April 16

Typhoon “Bising” has maintained its maximum sustained winds of 130 kilometers per hour near the center and gustiness of up to 160 kph. It moved slightly westward at 15 kilometers per hour.

The weather disturbance was last spotted at 895 kilometers east of Surigao City, Surigao del Norte at around 3 p.m.

As of 10 a.m., April 16

Typhoon “Bising” was estimated at 960 kilometers east of Surigao City, Surigao del Norte. It moved west-northwestward at 15 kilometers per hour.

“Bising” has intensified into a typhoon packing maximum sustained winds of 130 kilometers per hour near the center and gustiness of up to 160 kilometers per hour.

Severe tropical storm “Surigae” has entered the Philippine area of responsibility and was given the local name “Bising.” It is the second tropical cyclone to enter PAR in 2021.

It has maximum sustained winds of 110 kilometers per hour near the center and gustiness of up to 135 kilometers per hour around 4 a.m.
