P2.6-M shabu seized in Bacolod
BACOLOD CITY – About 396 grams of suspected shabu worth P2.6 million were seized from a newly identified drug personality in a buy-bust operation in Purok Sigay, Barangay 2 here Saturday.
Police identified the suspect as Dan Aldrick Ballesteros, 19, of Barangay 2.
Police Lt. Andy Ofalia, head of the Police Station 2 here, said Ballesteros is not part of their drug listing, adding that he could be a newly identified drug personality in the area.
Ballesteros was arrested after he allegedly sold shabu to a police agent for P1,000.
Police recovered from Ballesteros 22 sachets of shabu, the P1,000 marked money, and a weighing scale.
Ofalia said the operation was led by the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI)-Bacolod and Regional Special Operations Group Region 6 (Western Visayas).
Ofalia said the suspect is under the custody of NBI and will face drug charges.
