Remulla posted a photo of him during his vaccination to assure the residents of Cavite that vaccines are safe to fight COVID-19.

"Ito ay patunay sa inyo na okay na ang lahat at safe ito para sa atin (This proves that everything is okay and it is safe for us)," Remulla said.

Remulla jokingly fainted after the doctor administered the vaccine on his left arm at the vaccination center in De La Salle Animo Center.

According to Remulla he didn't feel anything aside from a little pain.

"Hindi naman pala masakit. Bale wala ... yakang yaka ng lahat ng Caviteño eto. Kilala tayo sa pagiging matapang at walang inuurungan ... kahit karayom (It doesn't hurt at all. It doesn't matter ... all Caviteños can do this. We are known for being brave and relentless ... even needles)," Remulla wrote in a tweet.

"Hindi po perfect ang vaccine, iba po ay nag kakaroon ng reaction -- pagsinat, pagsakit ng katawan minsan hindi makahinga, pero generally very safe ito (The vaccine is not perfect, others will have a reaction -- they will have a fever, body pains, sometimes they can't breathe, but it is generally very safe)," the governor added.

On April 4, the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF) allowed mayors and governors in high-risk areas to get inoculated against the dreaded disease.
