CEB transports more COVID-19 vaccines across PH

Cebu Pacific (CEB) transported 77,800 additional doses of COVID-19 vaccines to six cities this week, flying in a total of 130,800 doses nationwide since last month.

Its latest airlift earlier today (April 9), brought 6,000 doses of vaccine to Tuguegarao.

This week’s batch of consecutive shipments consisted of 7,200 doses to Bacolod on April 6, then 14,400 doses each to Tacloban and Zamboanga plus 34,800 doses to Cotabato, on April 7 and 1,000 doses to Puerto Princesa on April 8.

In March, CEB delivered some 53,000 doses to Zamboanga and Tuguegarao.

“We are glad to actively take part in this national endeavor," remarked Xander Lao, Cebu Pacific Chief Strategy Officer.

"These deliveries pave way to the timely and successful rollout of our country’s vaccination program and we are thankful for our partners’ trust in Cebu Pacific,” he elaborated.

All vaccines upon receipt at the CEB Cargo Warehouse were kept in a refrigerated storage container, complete with cooling systems to preserve them until they arrive at their destinations.

“We look forward to carrying more of these much-needed vaccines to aid in the country’s fight against COVID-19,” added Lao.
