Singer Rachel Alejandro gave her fans a glimpse of what she experienced  when she finally got her COVID-19 vaccine overseas.

On Instagram, Rachel posted a snap of herself while showing the bandage on her arm with the caption: "Just got the one dose J&J shot at the community center in Brooklyn. A year ago I didn't leave the apartment for six weeks straight as New York was the epicenter of the virus.

"My heart is full of gratitude that we made it today but at the same time, it bleeds for those who are sick right now or have lost loved ones. To be honest, I don't know how we can go back to the way things were.

"We are forever changed. We were told towait 15 minutes after getting the shot and now, "Don't Stop Believing" is blasting in the hall. How fitting!"

Fellow singer Geneva Cruz expressed her joy in the comments section.

Rachel, 47, now based in the US, is best known for her hit songs "Nakapagtataka," "Kay Tagal" and "Paalam Na."
