BAGUIO CITY – Joint operatives of the Baguio City Police Office (BCPO) and the Philippine National Police- Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG)-Cordillera arrested 21 persons for online cockfighting in Kayang-Hilltop here Monday.
BCPO Director Police Col. Allen Rae Co identified the suspects as Patricio Tubera Boadilla Jr.; Richard dela Cruz; Clifford Bedrijo; Arman Parrocha; Romeo Mina; Romel Balbosa; Ato Dick Javier; Julius Boado Vallar; Jerwin Garcia Guzman; Rolando Rozon Natividad Jr.; Reynaldo Sumalino Niocena Jr.;
Biliong Santillian Agandres; Cyrus Rimando Bedrijo; Joseph Antonio Molina; Juan Barcena Amistad; Berlyna Paris Padilla; Veronica Nillo Danganan; Alma Ballesteros Boadilla; Maria Rica Guiterrez; Ahleen May Tamayo, and Reynaldo delos Santos Gutierrez.
Police obtained a search warrant for violation of
Presidential Decree 1602 (Prescribing Stiffer Penalties on Illegal Gambling) and mounted the anti-illegal gambling operation “Oplan:Olea” (Bolilyo) that led to the arrest of the suspects.
Seized from them were a Hisense television; one PLDT Home Fibr modem; one PLDT Home Fibr box, tables and chairs believed to be used by suspects in their online cockfighting activities, playing cards, and P8,644 cash.
The suspects and pieces of evidence were brought to CIDG regional office here for proper documentation.
