K-pop boy band EXO member Baekhyun’s new solo mini-album “Bambi” has exceeded 830,000 copies in pre-orders to set a personal best.

“Bambi” is Baekhyun’s comeback album in 10 months after releasing “Delight” in May last year. It will be released at 6 p.m. KST today (March 30).

According to SM Entertainment, “Bambi” recorded 833,392 copies in pre-orders as of March 29, Baekhyun’s highest compared to 732,297 pre-orders for “Delight” recorded on May 24, 2020 and 401,545 pre-orders for “City Lights” on July 8, 2019.

With over 830,000 in pre-orders, “Bambi” is predicted to reach one million copies in sales soon.

By end of 2020, “Delight” sold 926,624 copies and placed fifth on Hanteo Chart’s yearly album chart. With this, Baekhyun ranked as the solo artist with the highest album sales in Korea last year. In the top 10 chart, Baekhyun was the only solo artist.

“Bambi” contains six songs including the main track “Bambi,” “Love Scene," "All I Got," "Amusement Park," "Privacy" and "Cry For Love."

The album is also very significant as this will be Baekhyun’s last album before he enlists in the military. On Instagram Live, he hinted that he may enlist in April as the end of March is the latest that he could postpone his military service. SM Entertainment has not announced his enlistment date.
He will be following the footsteps of fellow EXO member Chanyeol who enlisted on March 29. Baekhyun will be the sixth member of EXO to enlist after Chanyeol, Xiumin, D.O., Suho and Chen.
