WATCH: Bea Alonzo cooks tilapia dish with ingredients harvested from her farm

A must-try meal this Holy Week

In her past vlogs, actress Bea Alonzo gave everyone a glimpse of her and her mother's 10-year-old farm in Zambales called Beati Firma. The lush, solar-powered property is filled with many agricultural wonders, from rice field to animal farm, that is sure to make everyone green with envy.

This time, the actress showcases what her farm has to offer and flexes her culinary skills by cooking a meal out of her farm's produce. She prepares a recipe for sinaing na tilapia sa gata na may kamias, a perfect dish to try at home this Holy Week.

"There is really something about going back to the basics that I like," Bea says. "At sa panahon ngayon, usong-uso ang mga farm-to-table recipes kasi lahat ng tao mas gusto nila na kumain ng mga fresher ingredients, dishes that have less preservatives, and parang feeling ko kailangan ko rin i-maximize 'yung mga bagay na nakukuha namin dito sa farm (During this time, farm-to-table recipes are in because many people want to eat meals with fresher ingredients, dishes that have less preservatives, and I feel that I need to maximize the things that we get here in the farm)."
