The lockdowns in several barangays in Manila will no longer be implemented after the National Capital Region (NCR) was placed under Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) starting Monday (March 29) until Sunday (April 4).

This was according to Manila Mayor Francisco "Isko Domagoso" on Saturday (March 27).
“ECQ na,” he said when asked by reporters if barangay lockdowns in Manila would still continue.
Cesar Chavez, Chief of Staff of Domagoso, confirmed this to the Manila Bulletin.
“All previously ordered localized lockdown within the period of ECQ, March 29 to April 4, are deemed superseded by the new ECQ resolution by IATF,” he explained.
Some barangays in Manila were placed under four-day lockdown to stem the transmission of COVID-19.
On March 27, Malacañang announced the imposition of ECQ in NCR, Cavite, Laguna, Bulacan, and Rizal.
