Ready to serve! 309 trainees pass PCG course in Misamis Oriental


A total of 309 trainees of the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) have successfully completed the first phase of their training in Misamis Oriental last Wednesday, March 24.

Commodore Agapito Bibat, district commander of PCG Northern Mindanao, graced the recognition ceremony of the trainees under the Coast Guardsman's Course (CGMC) Class 82 - 2020 "Sidlap Layag" held at the PCG Regional Training Center (RTC) in Laguindingan town.

Bibat urged the trainees to serve the people with humility and compassion, and be "patriotic, compassionate, and God-fearing" Coast Guard personnel.

The trainees will undergo another phase of training focusing on maritime law enforcement, security, safety, search and rescue, and marine environmental protection.

Bibat encouraged the new recruits to make the most out of their remaining training sessions.The PCG said minimum health standards were strictly observed during the recognition ceremony.
