The city government of Valenzuela temporarily closed down gyms, spas, and internet cafes in order to ease the surge in coronavirus disease (COVID-19) cases in the city.

All gyms, fitness studios, massage parlors, spas, and internet cafes will be temporarily closed until April 4, 2021.

The closure of these establishments is in accordance with DTI Memorandum Circular No. 21-11 Series of 2021.

City government offices will adopt a skeleton workforce arrangement from March 25 to March 31 to lessen the COVID transmission in the offices.

The Valenzuela City Hall will remain open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

As of Wednesday (March 24), Valenzuela has 851 active COVID cases.
