The University of the East Manila (UE) University Student Council (USC) launched a financial assistance program for students.
The USCares: USC Financial Assistance program is established to provide financial assistance to qualified students who are struggling with their academic needs and expenses during the second semester of the school year 2020-2021.
The first 20 applicants will undergo application process and deliberation.
“The administration only allowed the councils to have limited slots for the program. Still, we are hoping that through this project, we will be able to help those who are really in need of the assistance,” USC wrote on Facebook Wednesday, March 24.
“The councils recognize the hard work and struggles of the students especially during this time of crisis. The project is in line with the councils’ advocacy to forward students rights and welfare,” it added.
