It’s a go for Pilipinas VisMin Super Cup after the new professional league got the green light from the Cebu City Disaster Risk Reduction Management for its inaugural tournament on April 9.

Pilipinas VisMin Super Cup Chief Operating Officer (COO) Rocky Chan said Wednesday, March 24, that all the necessary agencies and departments in the region gave their approval to start the bubble tournament.

“They’re allowing us to start on April 9, so it’s a very good development. All the teams are excited. We still need the approval from the Office of the Governor,” said Chan.

“We were actually told that if we get the approval from the different agencies and departments, the Office of the Governor will also allow us, all they need is for us to get these approvals.”

Chan said he had a very good discussion with the officials of the regional offices of the Department of Health, Department of Tourism, the Department of Interior and Local Government, the Department of Social Welfare and Development, the Bureau of Fire Protection.

The new league, which is backed by Puma, has 12 teams.

The seven teams in the Visayas division include MJAS Zenith Talisay, KCS Computer Solutions Cebu City, ARQ Builders Lapu-Lapu City, Tubigon-Bohol, Siquijor Mystics, Dumaguete Warriors and Tabogon Voyagers.
