Markki Stroem urged to come out of the closet

Former "Pilipinas Got Talent" contestant Markki Stroem is being attacked by fans on social media.

Apparently, many of them are insisting he is gay, going on to urge him to come out.

But Markki is not eager to give them that satisfaction.

He answered one fan, "Can you tell me how this makes a person worse? Just inquiring.  Is sexuality still a prejudice in this day and age? Why does homophobia stem from mostly women and other gay men? Please enlighten me. I want to know how long it will take before we can treat each other equality."

With another fan insisting "magladlad ka na kasi," he replied, "There is a word called RESPECT. No one deserves an explanation about anything in our lives! Do not allow anyone to tell you what to do and not to do. I will not stand by this bullying."

Rumors about Markki's sexual orientation emerged sometime back after a photo of him sharing a bed with a man that looks like actor Marvin Agustin surfaced.

Both remain silent on the issue.
