In a statement on Monday, the PCG said the BRP Bagacay (MRRV-4410) personnel ensured the safe and secure transport of essential Information and Communications Technology (ICT) equipment last week.

The equipment transported were computer monitors, servers, network switches, printers, networking cables, Wi-Fi equipment, and office supplies.

Free internet connection points are now available in Turtle Island National High School and Turtle Islands Municipal Hall, as well as in Mapun National High School and Mapun Municipal Hall.

“The Coast Guard vessel also provided ship-to-shore transportation and close-in security to government representatives during the activity,” the PCG added.
