A 12-hour water interruption will disrupt the lives of as many as 102,656 households in Rizal province due to a maintenance activity that Manila Water Company Inc. will undertake in one of its pumping stations.
In a statement, Manila Water said it will undertake maintenance activity at Siruna Pumping Station located at Siruna Road, Brgy. Mambugan, Antipolo City.
This, according to the company, will result in temporary water service interruption affecting more than 81,204 water service connections in 102,656 households, commercial and business establishments in 31 barangays in the Province of Rizal.
The interruption will begin Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at 6:00 PM until 6:00 AM, Thursday, March 25, 2021.
In Antipolo, the affected barangays are Bagong Nayon, Beverly Hills, Mambugan, Mayamot, Cupang, Dalig, Dela Paz, Sta. Cruz, San Isidro, San Roque, San Luis, San Jose, San Juan and Inarawan.
Meanwhile, in Teresa, there are 10 barangays that will be affected by the water service interruption, namely Poblacion, San Gabriel, May-Iba, Dulumbayan, Calumpang, Sto. Cristo, Prinza, Bagumbayan, Dalig and San Roque.
Other areas to be affected are San Guillermo in Morong; Dolores in Taytay; Mahabang Parang and San Roque in Angono; and Tayuman, Pag-asa and Pantok in Binangonan.
Manila Water is advising residents of the said barangays to store enough water to supply their needs during the interruption period.
After service is restored, customers are advised to allow a few minutes for flushing before using the water from their taps, Manila Water further said.
