As we gear up for the summer, many might be setting new goals for summer of 2021 such as the ever-popular #BalikAlindog or #BeachBod that trends almost every year. But no matter how noble it may sound, we have to admit, many will fail to remain focused and keep track of their fitness goal.  Luckily, we live in an age where technology is at the forefront, always ready to assist us in our daily lives and that includes encouraging us to get fit.

One gadget that can help make your #BalikAlindog “real’ is the realme Smart Scale.  This device gives you almost all the information that you will need to determine what to focus on and track your progress.

The realme Smart Scale comes in two colors, the blue and the white variants. It is powered by 4 AAA batteries that can last you about a year of usage.

The scale may seem fragile; but don’t be deceived as it is actually tougher than it looks. It has four sturdy metal plates that are big and strong enough to support your feet, no matter how big or small they are.  Rest assured it’ll be able to withstand and measure weight and more.

The luxurious white unit that we got has a glass cover on top and a small LED screen.  It has heart and Bioimpedance (BIA) sensors that give accurate readings for your heart beat and bio-current information due to its advanced algorithms. In fact, its BIA sensors are highly sensitive that it can detect if you cheated on your diet. Even that glass of water you just drank will not get past its sensor. What a sneaky little smart scale right? I have to say, this smart scale is just as strict as your gym coach and nutritionist!

The realme Smart Scale works with the realme Link app, a smartphone app that gives a full report of the user’s progress, or lack thereof. It’ll record weight, fat rate, body shape, body mass index (BMI), muscle mass, body age, basal metabolism, lean body weight, moisture rate, muscle rate, visceral fat level, skeletal muscle, bone mass, protein, fat mass, and heart rate.

You have to note though that currently, the RealMe Link App is only available for Android users. IOS users may have to wait a little longer as development for Apple users is on the way according to its website.

As you go through the report from the realme Link App, you will find tidbits on what that specific measurement is. Apart from that, it also gives you an exercise suggestion to keep that specific measurement at an ideal level.

The App can also accommodate multiple users so that you and your whole family can track your health progress. This is a nice feature because you can now have a centralized health monitoring app that can track each and everyone’s progress.

In the end, the realme Smart Scale can help you be more conscious of your health. Especially now that the pandemic has altered our way of life, being mindful of our health and well being has become a priority. Personally, the smart scale has pointed out the things I need to work on health-wise. Just like what they say, awareness is the first step to progress — you know what I mean.

Health and fitness may not be a priority for some; but in reality, keeping healthy is an investment you have to make for yourself. In addition, it would really be nice if our physical looks would match our inner beauty… a trait that would definitely reflect the “real me.”
