“The schedule for COVID-19 vaccination for the DPPF health personnel will be on March 25, 2021 at the DPPF grounds to be facilitated by the Local Government Unit of Braulio E. Dujali and Provincial Health Office of Davao del Norte,” the DPFF said in a statement issued on Thursday, March 18.

It said there is an urgent need to have its health personnel vaccinated since “they have higher risks of exposure while on duty and to allow them to continue fulfilling their duties in both the public and private sectors. “

Despite the vaccinations, DPPF said it will continue to implement measures against the spread of COVID-19.

“Being vaccinated does not mean that we can throw caution to the wind and put ourselves and others at risk, particularly because it is still not clear the degree to which the vaccines can protect not only against the disease but also against infection and transmission,” it stated.

“For the foreseeable future we must continue wearing masks, physically distancing and avoiding crowds,” it added.

The DPPF noted that the scheduled vaccination is part of the “RESBAKUNA Kasangga ang BIDA Program” which is aimed at vaccinating all frontline health-care workers.

Last March 15, health-care workers of the town of Braulio E. Dujali had their COVID-19 vaccination.
