With a revamped roster, Cignal Ultra will look to fight not just to stay in the MPL Philippines but to make waves in the upcoming Season 7.

The Season 2 champion organization did enough last season to stay in Moonton's professional league, finishing with four series wins highlighted by a 2-0 victory over Nexplay Solid against nine losses in the group stage.

However, Cignal's valiant stand against Execration fell short as it succumbed to the eventual third place finisher right in the first round of the playoffs.

After the team's early exit in Season 6, hyper-carry Mark "Hadess" Lazaro transferred to two-time MPL titlist Aura PH while Vail "Tsujin" Alejo made a sudden departure.

Still, veteran captain-mage/support DJ "ImbaDeejay" Astibe, side laner Jhones "RHEA" De Leon and tank Benson "Bensanity" Paglinawan remained with the squad.

Cignal picked up Janus "JANUS" Badando and former Blacklist International standout Arvie "Aquaboy" Antonio to fill the voids left by Hadess and Tsujin then tapped ex-ArkAngel tank Jefferdson "Kekedot" Mogol as a back-up for Bensanity.

Last season's sixth man Paul "yebmaester" Miranda was elevated to the coaching role, with Jonas "Serein" Miranda serving as an assistant coach and analyst.

The new-look Cignal lineup will have its mettle tested against defending MPL king and world champion Bren Esports, Aura, Onic PH and Work Auster Force in Group A.

Anchored on its "Ultra Kalmado" mantra, the squad will shoot for a victorious start against Season 7 qualifier Work on the opening day on March 19 at 6 p.m.
