Cebu City fire razes 30 houses

CEBU CITY—At least 30 houses went up in smoke after an early morning fire struck a densely populated area in Barangay Mambaling here.

The fire started at 5:22 a.m. Monday in an interior portion of Sitio Kawayan Club.

The fire originated from the house owned by one Rabin Siacor, said SFO1 Riza Julve of the Cebu City Fire Department.

The fire was raised to second alarm before it was placed under control at 6:18 a.m, added Julve.

“The cause of the fire is still being investigated,” said Julve.

Fire damage was pegged at P150,000. No one was hurt in the incident.
