MIAA general Manager Ed Monreal reminded NAIA personnel to wear face mask and face shields when entering the airport facility, practice proper hand washing with soap, and use hand sanitizers that are located in every corner/section of the airport.

He also said the contact tracing app Traze should be used by everyone entering the airport.

Monreal said that since the pandemic broke out, the MIAA has introduced nine basic standards in the four NAIA terminals, which it continues to implement.

MIAA has also sought the assistance of the Bureau of Quarantine in determining what type of PPE would be appropriate for its employees given their different work stations. “We want to make sure that they have the right kind of protection as the nature of their jobs would require,” Monreal said.
