ILOILO CITY—Two wanted persons were separately nabbed Wednesday in Sta. Barbara town, Iloilo province.
Police Major Raymund Celoso identified the suspects as Carl Michael Sorolla Sobriaga and Erwin Jan Pintor Suganob.
Celoso said the March 10 police operations were part of “operation manhunt Charlie” in Zone 5 and Zone 2 villages respectively.
The 24-year-old Sobriaga and 23-year-old Suganod are both wanted for murder with a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Gloria Madero of the Regional Trial Court (RTC-Branch 29).
Both were the remaining suspects in a May 25, 2017 murder of a terminal dispatcher.
It was learned that the duo were part of a group who kept on altering road signs at Bangga Dama of Bolong Oleste village.
The terminal dispatcher kept warning them, but one of their companions stabbed the dispatcher and were eventually accused of being accessories to the crime.
While the principal suspect was arrested last January 2020, the duo were at-large and were only found to have moved back to their hometown.
