Establishments must reinforce existing safety, health protocols


Establishments are required to reinforce existing minimum public health and safety standards and protocols in light of the local transmission of new COVID-19 variants. 

Joint advisory No. _2_1_-_0_1_ Series of 2021 issued today, March 9, by the Department  of Trade and Industry and Department on the Labor and Employment required  mployers/contractors/subcontractors and business establishments are hereby reminded to REINFORCE their strict implementation of minimum public health and safety standards and protocols in the workplace. 

“Wilful failure or refusal to comply with any of the pertinent minimum public health and safety standards and protocols shall be penalized, in accordance with Section 29 of DOLE Department Order No. 198, Series of 2018 and other applicable regulations and guidelines,” the advisory added.
