Actress-television host Pauleen Luna surprised fans when she recently revealed she has polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS).

PCOS is a hormonal disorder common among women of reproductive age, according to Mayo Clinic.

"Women with PCOS may have infrequent or prolonged menstrual periods or excess male hormone (androgen) levels. The ovaries may develop numerous small collections of fluid (follicles) and fail to regularly release eggs."

Despite this, the 32-year-old wife of comedian Vic Sotto isn't letting it affect her perspective in life.

In fact, she's a little over a month into her fitness journey and admitted that she's starting to feel her strength coming back.

"I've accepted that it's a slow progress but slow is better than none," she said. "Living with PCOS is no joke."

Pauleen related that making good choices with her food intake and activities like doing pilates, walking, spinning, have been her priority lately.

"So happy where I am right now and I really pray that God will sustain me."
