BACOLOD CITY – Two brothers and their cousin were arrested by police in a buy-bust operation in Sitio Lupao, Barangay Quezon, San Carlos City, Negros Occidental Saturday.
Police identified the suspects as Joemarie Paran, 35; his brother Arjames Paran, 22, and their cousin Arnel Paran, 28, all residents of Barangay Quezon.
Recovered from them were 1.2 kilograms of suspected marijuana worth P144,000, a .45 caliber loaded with magazine and two live ammunition, and the P1,100 marked money.
Police Lt. Ruby Aurita, deputy chief of the San Carlos City Police Station, said Joemarie is a drug surrenderer while his brother and cousin were identified as street level individuals.
Aurita said drug charges are being readied against the three suspects.
